Wednesday Words

This is what I sometimes hear before I click “Add to cart” on Amazon, even if I downloaded a borrowed copy from the library. But there are so many great writers with new books coming out, that Yoda goes out the window and I listen to my ‘inner-younger-Picard’ with “Now! Now, now, now…!” (If you’ve seen the ST:TNG episode, Rascals, you know the scene).

So what do I have stacked on the smaller desk (because the larger one has a ‘few’ from the library)?

That’s this week’s/month’s splurge with the argument being “National Reader Month.”

What books are you impatiently waiting to add to your reading lists/shelves?

Iris Johansen’s ‘Live To See Tomorrow’ , and Keith Richards’ “Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar.”

Okay, this one almost broke me up. I couldn’t believe the one you had on the top of the pile. I can’t put yours on the top of my pile as I’ve already read. It’s with my treasured books written by my friends. At the top of my list is 18 Endless Summers by another friend. I’ve dried my eyes and tweeted.

(smile) I’m hoping for a Sunday binge-reading day. 18 Endless Summers sounds good, too.

It’s about a couple that spent 18 years on their boat following the summer months and visiting out-of-the-way places. I have no idea how they could afford that. She claims she couldn’t have done it without the Desert Writers Guild and me. Perhaps.

Drop a Note.
