7-7-7 Writers Challenge

Thanks to Sheri Kennedy for tagging me.

I’ve taken the 7/7/7 challenge.  Here are 7 lines (+) from page 7 of my work in progress and I have tagged 7 other writers to do the same…

From “Atkinson’s Chronicles” –

“Spit in his hand,” Elani whispered to her younger brother.

Atkinson drew his knees up to his chest, despite the warmth of the fireplace, and answered, “You do it.”

Mr. Yomin was taller and thinner than anyone the boy had met before; but it was the facial hair framing the angular, pale face that captivated him, brightening the already piercing eyes as blue as the sky.

Atkinson complied, watching as Mr. Yomin mixed the spittle together.  Long slender fingers wiped the juices on the earpieces of a pair of spectacles, the color turning a shade darker than before. Smiling, Mr. Yomin held the spectacles out, the obedient, frightened, yet curious boy putting them on.

“Good,” Mr. Yomin said in a language Atkinson had known, “now we don’t have to play guessing games.”

  1. Oooo…very cool. Since I have had the pleasure of reading on from this fragment, I know that this enticing excerpt is followed by a story that does not disappoint the tease. Fabulous, T!
