There were at least half a dozen pieces to choose from at the showing. Some ideally aimed for items were already well above my limit in terms of the bidding. The third time/piece was the charm however, with the above piece becoming the one I could claim that is now part of my corner office of ‘Artists’ Windows.’
Below was the painting I had ‘aimed high’ for:
It’s fun to discover and support local artists and see how their images can spin a thousand words in this writer’s imagination.

Enjoy your art. It should indeed brighten your corner office. I’ll admit to liking the bottom one. When I purchased art for the new home, I went to the local art gallery and bought paintings of local artists. One of the better decisions I’ve made. You are so right. Go to your local art gallery and support the local people.
That’s one of the things I like about being back home – the wealth of gifted and talented artists with their various materials and styles. Always a treat to find something new.
I like the painting on the bottom. I can definitely see why you were drawn to it. The artist has a lovely use of color.
I’ll admit that’s my favorite, too – my first aim for bidding. Can’t wait to see what will be available during the next showing.
Perhaps you can get a print of it someday, at the very least.
