One of the definitions for “fanatical’ is a strong devotion to religion. Interesting to note, in Old Testament times, the people of Athens had such a focus on religions that among the many temples, altars and dedications to numerous gods, they even included one for ‘The Unknown God.’

When do we go up to a friend, a family member, someone nearby to join us to a refuge of strength, of reassurance, of comfort?
In Athens, people were curious about new things, new ideas. In our time and place, it seems curiosity focuses around celebrities well-known for being famous, or the latest scandal pelting a politician placed on a pedestal by the populace. Are we a society building our house upon grains of sand or a rock?
