Stumbling Towards the End

One week ago tomorrow was the first day of summer. A perfect way to start the season (and the weekend) was to travel to a park yet to be explored. While it is comforting to take a familiar mountain for granted, it was a nice change of pace to shoot it from a different location, with a different perspective. While the temperatures were perfect, the site of many cottonwood seedlings floating through the air gave a mystical winter-snow look to it. Along one traveled path, there was so much white it could have been mistaken for snow.

Here is where the three forks converge, making for a wonderful spot for a picnic. After taking a few pictures and emptying a bottle of water, this was only the beginning of a fun-filled summer day.
