It still surprises me when someone thinks this little tablet’s worth nominating. I’m thankful and humbled by Mama Bear Musings nomination for the Liebster Blogger Award.

1. What is your favorite pizza topping/toppings?

Canadian bacon and pineapple

2. What is your personal life philosophy?

Thank God for every moment and find a reason to smile/laugh daily.

3. What is your favorite quote?

Frighteningly enough, just started stumbling around with: twitter, linkedin, google+, pinterest and tumblr. The selected connections on are the “About” page.

5. Are you a writer, photographer, or both?

Both.

6. What is your favorite genre to write?  to read?

Literary fiction, followed by fantasy and mystery. As for reading – just about anything (except romance – still stumble through that, too, unless it’s well written).

7. Do you enter any poetry/short story/photography contests?

Yes, this year’s goal, entering at least two a month.

8. Have you ever won a poetry/short story/photography contests?  If so, tell us about them. (Optional)

Didn’t win, but was included in the slide-show collection for my first photo contest entry.

Yes.

Not yet.

11. Who or what inspires you?

Family, friends, fellow writers and fabulous bloggers.

11 Random things about me…

1. I supposedly write better with my left hand upside-down and backwards than I do with my right hand proper.
2. Baking is wonderfully therapeutic.
3. I believe I’m still too simple for a smartphone.
4. My ‘little brother’ is my Rock of Gibraltar.
5. I’ve only made the ‘perfect omelet’ once and it was by accident.
6. I’m a recovering workaholic.
7. I’m notorious for reading at least three books at once (one at work, one at the desk, one wherever I left it).
8. My parents told me I started reading when I was three.
9. I’ve seen all but six Jimmy Stewart films.
10. Soundtracks and classical music are my downfall.
11. The odds of my getting a Kindle/e-reader are the same as the odds of my ever signing up for Facebook.
