Tuesday Tide

Camano Island 2 by Tommia Wright

Pulling from the archives, this photo was from a year ago.

Current(ly)

Stretching out from the shore

Wanting less, not wanting more.

First goes the color and then the leaves

Each new ‘loss’ – the easier to breathe.

Then go the branches and the bark

The ‘day to day’ doesn’t seem as sharp.

Washed back and forth, the ebb, the tide –

It’s when we leave ‘here’ to where peace abides.
