Monday Moment

Slow Time

Slow Time

Thirty-five years ago, the mountain blew
Daylight swiftly vanished from view
The damage cleared acres, swept away homes
Ash then circled about the globe
The crater rebuilds itself bit by bit
To some, time hasn’t moved an inch
And for others, it stands still
As Mt. St. Helens returns to mountain, from hill.
