I am humbled by Mike Reverb’s nomination. When I started this blog as a ‘foolish folly,’ I had figured (and feared) that the majority of readers would only be family and friends within my SVW circle. To discover a new comment by a dear friend (thank you Marilyn), as well as a new follower is encouraging and humbling.
In accordance to the rules that accompany this, here are fifteen fellow bloggers who are a joy to read/follow:
- Avant-Garde in My Backyard by Jackie Fedyk. This multi-talented artist is the one who encouraged me to begin blogging.
- Vikram Roy
- Sheri Kennedy combines beautiful details of words with pictures. A wonderfully creative artist.
- Vicky Bastedo
- Mike Reverb is worth mentioning again – an enjoyable daily read with wit and wisdom to break up a ‘dull day.’
- Kathleen Gabriel
- WritingWildly best describes Linda Garcia’s fearless writings – mixes of poetry, personal essay and prose. Her wit is akin to Erma Bombeck in some respects.
- Distracted by the Internet
- Dr. Anthony’s Blog
- Mind Space by David S. Moore is great food for thought in regards to things science fiction, fantasy and fact.
- Twistingthreads
- Stephen Matlock, young adult author and wordsmith weaver with writings varying from wisdom to wry humor.
- Jearl Rugh
- Ruthanne Reid
- Casondra Brewster, leader and motivator of SnoValley Writes! and co-author of Martius Catalyst, writes an assortment of pieces, moving, motivating, and powerful. She’s the one who has encouraged members of our small literary group to try something different.
Seven things about myself?
- I’m fortunate to be surrounded by supportive, creative and crafty friends and family.
- I like writing by long-hand for better stream of thought; by keyboard for better speed (Making sense of either format requires reading glasses) and by flashlight if the power’s out.
- If I’m not writing, I thoroughly enjoy reading mysteries, sci-fi, short stories and well-written stories in general. This includes a silly soft-spot for fan fiction.
- If I’m not reading, I enjoy audio books and an eclectic collection of music to listen to – a thousand words painting quite a picture, especially if there’s an accent involved.
- I enjoy photography and have just discovered all the knobs, dials and buttons on this bigger camera… Oh wait, that’s a 110!
- If I’m not where I’m supposed to be -long hikes, short errands, escapes to the city for scenery to shoot, work – then I’m probably at a library.
- I’m a recovering workaholic (see previous post).
Recovering workaholic with all that you do? I wouldn’t want to try your recovery system. I have no idea how you find time to read all those blogs. Everyone is interesting, I’m sure and you certainly posted them there for others to follow.
Well, I’ll say ‘recovering’ only because I have a kind boss who sees to it that I don’t ‘live at work.’ (smile). As for reading, I don’t always get to the blogs daily – and have since discovered others recently as well. Weekly is good; bi-weekly’s the norm. The true ‘recovery system’ comes from one particular book, from a dear friend, filled with prayers and meditations.
