Mike’s The Eye Dancers caught my attention during one of those browsing days, the book already on my digital bookshelf. The blog is a wonderful read that I recommend, if you’re not reading it already.

Seven random facts?

• Josephine Tey is my inspiration in writing – her way with description is a delight.
• Torey L. Hayden is the only author I have in my collection that isn’t missing a title.
• I dared to learn four years’ worth of Russian in two years after a year of teaching ESL (and because the Cyrillic alphabet was unfamiliar to me).
• I learned a few Italian curse words from my aunt while in Rome – not that we admitted that to either of our parents.
• I have yet to tour Underground Seattle.
• Even though I live close to the coast, I’ve a fear of drowning, despite swimming lessons decades ago – not that I’ll let that stop me learning how to snorkel.
• A few key things get me through the day – the devotional reading, family and friends, music and a heartfelt laugh before nightfall.
