Saturday Snapshot

It’s amazing how much changes – what is lost, what is found. Sheri J. Kennedy caught this scene behind the facade of the bakery on main street – the last remnants of George’s Bakery. George Macris was our Willie Wonka of the Valley when it came to baked goods. Those of us who grew up here remember a different face to the shop. Who knew this was tucked behind it? Behind this sign (since gone- thank you for the capture Sheri!) is a collection of windows now seen.

What will be the new face and collection of Georgia’s BakeryWe’ll see.

That will be a huge endeavor to match George’s Bakery. Their offerings were wonderful. I hope the new bakery succeeds! Tweeted.
