Yes, I find it a bit sad. But I also understand that with increased electronic communication it’s plausible that we may abandon writing with any type of stylus eventually, so teaching only one set of symbols with which to physically write English probably makes sense. There’s so much to learn…
There are studies that show writing in cursive helps brain development. Of course, studies are like statistics: you can make them prove anything. I still think removing cursive is an error. Tweeted/
