Enjoy!
Reflections on Water will be available with a collection of postcards.
Five of our Authors will have 6 Collector’s Gift Packages available for their publications at the Holiday Bazaar at Si View Community Center tomorrow. These editions will be very limited and are handmade and/or designed by the Authors. Get them while you can! The sale is Dec. 7th 10-3. And you can contact us at FreeValleyPublishing@gmail.com if you’re interested but can’t make it to the sale.
Here’s a sneak peek at our sign for the sale and Victoria Bastedo’s and Kennedy J. Quinn’s packages. More images will be added for the others as soon as they are available.
Today’s response to the Daily Prompt: Textures are everywhere: The rough edges of a stone wall. The smooth innocence of a baby’s cheek. The sense of touch brings back memories for us. What texture is particularly evocative to you?/Photographers, artists, poets: show us TEXTURE
“I do like the ocean wave, actually. I’m born under the sign of Cancer – the sign of the crab – so I like coastal areas and sunny beaches and such – although not the wide-open and deep seas.” ~Anjelica Huston
Hard to believe we’re on the 12th month of the year already!
NaNoWriMo went well (our celebration is tonight!)
FreeValley Publishing will be at the holiday bazaar this Saturday!
As for projects, I decided to try the Kiwi Writers Dirty Dozen – or poems for December. Granted, it’s a variation while combining it with Merriam Webster’s Word of the Day, but so far it has been fun, this Daily Dictionary Drabble Poem thing.
Then there’s the Sketchbook Project 2014, slowly being cobbled together. In the meantime, my Fiction Project, “Dawning Discoveries” has been checked out a couple of times so far in Brooklyn. (smile)
There are a few revisions being made to “On the Rocks” – a follow-up of sorts to “Reflections on Water.”
The other fun projects included the postcard collection that accompanies this book:
I think it’s safe to say that this December will be the month of play and discovery.
I’ve been slacking off on this habit a while. Here are some latest releases – maybe one will bring a smile:
And if you’re in the area:
Featuring works from FreeValley Publishing.
Happy Monday everyone!
It’s been a crazy yet creative week over here in Paperbook Land.
Blogging has unfortunately fallen by the wayside a little bit, so I thought I would take a sec to fill you in on what’s been going on.
This time of year seems to move at warp speed, doesn’t it. Last time I looked up it was mid-September and I was struggling to move house, suddenly it’s almost December and I have more projects on than hours in a day. I’m sure you can all relate – what with Christmas carols and looming holidays and end of year sales and impending visits from all sorts of family members both close and estranged, it’s a hectic time of year for everyone. I highly recommend taking an hour to yourself each day to relax and read a book.
Who has time for that?? I can hear you screech.
