(“There are three kinds of people in this world – those who can count and those who cannot.” – a joke told by an elementary teacher)
Today’s Daily Prompt states “Tell us about another blogger who has influenced your own online journey.”
One? Really? Well, there are two bloggers who have been the trailblazers for me, for their variety of topics, their exploration into new formats and never holding back who they are:
Jackie Fedyk is the one who told me “Of course you can blog! Anyone can!” So, I followed her lead. Where I was hesitant, she was daring; where I questioned, she shared answers.
Casondra Brewster is the one who keeps repeating the statement “Your writing shouldn’t stay in a shoebox! Get it out there for the world to see!” I continue to follow the lines she throws my way (yes, this includes stumbling my way through Google+ and the like).
Two great role-models, writers, artists and most importantly, friends who offer encouragement and entertainment every time in need.
Who has encouraged and influenced your online journey?

Encouragement is all you need.
I knew very little of this blogging world. I’m still learning. I remember reading The Bloggess (with bazillions of others) and thinking how she wasn’t afraid to be herself. I also admired this community that rallied around her. I thought she was brave. So, I decided I should be brave and be heard and build a community. My sisters and a few friends were my first line of encouragement (I drove them nuts) and now fellow bloggers chime in. I haven’t looked back (I’ve only been blogging since January) and I don’t see stopping any time soon. You really get invested in this community. It’s awesome! Thanks for the post!!
Thank you for the enjoyable blogs you share. I like the enthusiasm you have about ‘not looking back.’ It’s worth remembering, no matter what stage of life you’re at.
I’m wondering how you get all those pictures on the side. hmm Looks really nice that way. Thanks for visiting my writing tips blog. Deb http://www.deborahowen.wordpress.com
Ah, that was one of the “widgets” to choose from: “Blogs I Follow.” There’s an option to choose between listing or ‘gridding’ (the pictures) and how many you want. (smile)
