Watery Bloom

Watery Bloom

Bubble, bubble, joy and tumble
Droplets dance and laughter rumbles
In its playful drip-drop game
Splashing a bit of fun in a hum drum day.

Do we take flight in the safety of night,
Teasing our way towards distant light?
And if we do, what sort of view
Are we trying to hide from the few?

Do we take rest on the cold hard ground,
Teasing out tension unknown now found?
And if we do, what sort of view
Are we failing to see past the dew?

Do we take gifts for granted,
Teasing the giver, treat them unwanted?
And if we do, what sort of view
Are we showing a child or two?

Thursday Theatre

The Bard and Starlet Radio Hour, directed by Michael Renney. was a wonderfully magical evening last May.

first show

Craig Ewing, Dylan Cook, and Leslayann Schecterson

Whether it as a Steam Punk adventure…

second show

Craig Ewing, Dylan Cook, and Leslayann Schecterson

a bit of banter in the midst of searching…

Final 'show'

Dylan Cook, and Leslayann Schecterson

Or two boys just having a chat by the river…

Over eighteen characters from six different stories brought to life by three actors in a couple of hours. Can you find a more enjoyable live performance than that?

In the Park 2015

An Oasis
An oasis in the city
Viewable yet far
Go deep into the center
Barely hear a car.
Large lake here
Small pond there
Games, picnics, gatherings
Even Shakespeare in the air
An oasis in the city
Is that where you’re bound?
In your town/neighborhood
Has your oasis been found?

Kamikazee Falls Cascading by Tommia Wright

Kamikaze Falls Cascading – March 2011 by Tommia Wright

When Wells Run Dry
The first time this trail was found
Was because I got turned around.
Too soon to go home, decided to roam,
Keeping tired feet to the ground.

Unprepared – what’s new?
Elevation grew
And at then trail’s end
Wow – what a view!

So early, one morn
Before the crowds bore
Their way to pack the quiet repose
Determined, was I, for that view once more.

Temperatures high
No clouds in the sky,
I probably already knew –
This time around, the falls was dry

Fine, I’ll wait until spring, after snow.
