Thursday Thought

There it goes, like an
Imp, instantly stealing again,
Minute memos misplaced
Escaped, evaporated.

Three Ships and the Water June 2013

My friend, how should we go? By motor or slow?
Afternoon’s arriving over the horizon
Sails up? Sails down?
Towards the mountains or towards a town?
Summer’s wavy tempo- the perfect timepiece.

Tiny Hands Tuesday

tht rockThe water running between the fingers
(Different water than what splashed toes)
Between smooth rock and rough concrete
Determining the direction the fluid flows
So many things to see and hear
So many things to touch – far and near
So it begins

sailing above

About the water blue
Hauling, casting, that’s the crew.
Ocean’s filled with pearls of various forms
Years from now, dreams dissolve, as light as sea foam

Friday Fast One

IMG_0550

Amazing as lines intersect
The shapes, designs
The eye detects
Everyday items
Now camouflaged
There, now gone
Invisible, visible
Out in the open or
Now a mystery

Thursday Thought

fast year

Seattle Waterfront June 2013

The seconds are the sands on the shore
The minutes are the leaves on a tree
The days are the branches thick and thin
The weeks – the waves on the water coming in
The months, like a Ferris wheel, come and go and come again.
Where oh where has this year gone?
Didn’t it just begin?

Wednesday Waters

Is it the ripples above?
Near the shores
Out in the middle
Rivers, streams, trickles ponds
Or maybe the gentle rocking
Undertow tug-of-war,
Tempo, time – another current.

Tiny Hands Tuesday

tiny hands

Forget the cotton candy
Forget the merry-go-round
Eyes widen at the many ways
To play and make a sound.

tunes, too

First there is the xylophone
Second is the megaphone
And don’t forget the drums
Or the shell to strum

music tree

Yes, the Music Tree
Is the new favorite place to be.
So many ways to sing, to play
The basic Do-Re-Mi.
