Mother! (and Daddy too!)

I hope all is well down on the farm. Did you get hit by the Great Gale last week? I do hope the orchards are doing well.

We were hit by the Gale while in the air. Don’t you go panicking, although I will admit I…

Had a wonderful time in DC – fulfilling for both mind and soul. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there’s no place like home!

Story-A-Day (day late) for Friday

photo The first time the marble steps filled the child’s eyes with awe was because of a svelte actor, now Mr. Smith and his inspirational attitude.

The second time the steps filled the teen’s eyes with awe was in watching a speech of one man’s dream, a dream, the teacher said, could become a reality.

The third time the steps filled the college student’s eyes with awe was while ascending them, remembering the meaning, message of the man memorialized in marble.

The fourth time the steps filled the grown child’s eyes with awe was in seeing their own child’s widen so.

Nope, the title’s right, even if the day is gone. Nourishing the creative side included designing a print to go with the theme: “Let this be a sign.”

There could be 1200 words to go with this, but I’m lucky for these few. The challenge from the Sketchbook Project: create 12 prints and receive 10 in exchange. The above shots are ‘ghost prints’ or the remains of the ink. More details will follow, along with a gallery.

What did you do to nourish your mind today?
