Inside the Needle 2015

Read two posts about Fear – by Tonette and Ruthanne – had me wondering (as I signed up to await the moment I can register for Base2Space once more!):

Why did/have I stop writing/photography/things that are fun?

I don’t have a logical answer for that, and I’ll confess a secret – I’m not sure I want to know the answer. Or that can be a lie I’ve accepted at face value for  now.

That’s why I’m thankful and blessed to have great friends who pull me from the ledge of illogical choices and/or offer a “Gibbs’ slap.” So, perhaps it’s time to plan an adventure, or put the pen to paper proper.

What has Fear put a stop on for you?

Wandering Wednesday

Mural by Boxley's.JPG

Mural by Boxley’s 2016

Sometimes, it’s fun to just wander around town and find things you may have missed before.

Nothing compares to the live sound
Of melodies floating all around
The needy souls in need of this
Eloquent, audible bliss
So, drink the music in.

Too Gray, You Say?

Snowhiker in December

Snow-Hiker in December

Shadow, no shadow
One means more snow.

What mole can be certain
How Mother Nature maintains
An atmospheric plan
That never goes according to the weatherman?

Moments Monday

After a quiet month – time to let the fun begin. February will be a collection of different ‘leaps’ – some logical, some ludicrous, some that may be from left field.

B2 Falls.JPG

Falls forgotten, rediscovered –
Simply by getting outside.
Focused on too many things –
Some could be set aside.
Flowing strongly, like before –
Snow disappearing for now.
Fun is essential, sanity restored –
Soul is replenished, that’s how.

Mount Rainier from the Mall 1.8.16

Trying something different – Inspired by Tena and Dawn, here is a bit of a Sky Watch from Renton, Washington. Looks could be deceiving – it was colder than the fading sunny sky let on.

A Gift-Filled Day

Hidden Refuge 1.7.16

Hidden Refuge 1.7.16

The joy of a day not rushed away
Enjoying the start of wandering play.
To see the trail bordered by snow;
Better still, various falls at proper flow.
Time with family, always a plus
Avoiding silly things like regret and fuss.
What could possibly top this day?
A repeat of the same carelessness
In a different way.
