“The true color of life is the color of the body, the color of the covered red, the implicit and not explicit red of the living heart and the pulses. It is the modest color of the unpublished blood.” ~ Alice Meynell

“We come from beyond, and we go from whence we came, courting the hands of time.
We are bound by nothing so much as our imagination.” ~Scott Mutter

“I  find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into  the other room and read a book.” ~ Groucho Marx

Corners

Give me my room of four corners,

where three bookcases, two cats and a chair sit

Oh, and that pesky door, that should be about it.

Better yet, give me walls of bookcases – ceiling to floor!

I’ll gladly be lost in the world of wordy,

imaginative, inspirational, informational pages forevermore!

Saturday Snapshot – Flight Edition

Towards the top of Smith Tower by Tommia Wright

Towards the top of Smith Tower by Tommia Wright

Heights

Oh the heights one could climb,

A shingle at a time

After laying each brick just so

No barriers there

Not a fear or a care

Until gravity says ‘let go.’

Friday Fast One

IMG_0858

Step, Missed Step, Misstepped

Sometimes the first steps are the hardest.

Be it a journey towards a destination, new or unknown

Or retracing a path detoured, forgone.

To go forward or go back –

The decision made without fear of attack

Of the inner voice or the outer crowd

Whichever way you go, remember mistakes are allowed.
